On the road to a village in the Northern Plains - under a Peepal tree

Road to a village in Sitapur - It started raining and I had to seek shelter under a peepal tree.
Sitapur is although a very poor district in terms of development indicator, it has fortunately very good rural roads. When I was on my field trip, I liked travelling throughout the day on these roads from one village to another. When I took this photograph, I was going to a village. Actually it suddenly started raining and I had to stop my motorbike and seek shelter under this peepal tree. It looked wonderful. I don't say that English countryside is more beautiful... as rural India and rural England are not comparable - as they belong to two entirely different climatic zones. However, in Monsoons, rural India looks amazingly beautiful - with plenty of greenery around and loads of solitude.
